  • Are benign removals covered by OHIP?
Unfortunately, because it is not medically necessary to remove benign lesions these are not covered by OHIP.
  • If I want a benign lesion removed do I still need a referral?
We still require a referral to remove benign lesions as we need to ensure this lesion is benign first with a consultation.
  • Do I need a referral if I want to only do injectables (e.g. Dysport, filler, Sculptra)?
A referral from a physician or nurse practitioner is not required for injectables. Please call us directly to schedule an appointment. We will require a deposit in order to book your appointment which we will arrange over the phone!
  • Do I need a referral to talk about pigmentation on my face?
Because there are many reasons for pigmentation on the face we still require a referral to address this concern.
  • Can I be seen without a referral?
Unfortunately, we are unable to see patients without a referral.
  • What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please bring a valid health card. We also kindly ask you bring a list of your medications. It would be helpful to have any information regarding previous treatments.
  • How quickly will you contact me after my referral is sent?
Please allow up to 2 weeks from the date of your doctors referral for us to reach out to you.
  • Are there any conditions you do not see?
At this time we are unfortunately not accepting referrals for warts and chronic wounds. We also only see adult cases (patients 18 years or older).
  • After my skin issue is addressed am I allowed to call back for any other new issues?
After we help you with your initial skin issue we require a new referral for any other new skin concerns that arise.
  • What does it mean to send a referral?
Your doctor or nurse practitioner will send us a fax with your personal information and more details on how we can help you. Once we receive your referral we will call you to schedule an appointment date and time to come see us. Look out for our call!
  • Are treatments for hair thinning covered by OHIP?
Unfortunately, androgenetic alopecia treatments are not covered by OHIP.
  • Do I still need a referral to be seen for hair loss?
We still require a referral to be seen for hair loss. There are many different types of hair loss so we can help ensure the correct diagnosis is made prior to embarking on any treatment!
  • Can I prevent my hair from thinning before it becomes noticeable?
Yes! We encourage patients to start treatment before they are visibly thinning to delay or prevent this from occuring in the future.
  • How do I know which type of hair loss I have?
We can help clarify which type of hair loss you have through consultation in our clinic. This is covered by OHIP.
